VBAC- Vaginal Birth After Cesarean

Cesareans rates in Maryland are approximately 35% overall. The World Health Organization recommends a rate of around 15%. Vaginal birth after cesarean rates in Maryland hover around 11%; however, over 80% of mothers that seek VBAC are likely to have a vaginal birth. This means this issue is not ability to birth but access to truly supportive VBAC care providers.

MotherCare Midwifery is passionate about supporting VBAC in an home setting. With careful screening during pregnancy, thorough assessment during labor and planned connections in case of transfer, planned home birth after cesarean is safe and can be a very satisfying experience.

Please contact Sarah with any questions you may have about VBAC/HBAC.
